In addition\, possible offerings include Yoga\, Meditation\, Sound Healing\, Opening to Nature\, Authentic Movement\, Writing\, Musicianship\, Drumming\, Shabbat\, Healing\, Aramaic Lords Prayer\, Walks\, Listening\, and Sohbet. \nLocation: Rural North-Central Massachusetts (1.5 hrs from Boston). \nNearest Airport: Boston Logan (1.5 hrs) & Manchester NH (1.5 hrs). \nTime of Year: last full weekend of July\, Thursday dinner – Sunday mid afternoon. \nWho Attends: All people welcome! It can be hot and dry or warm and rainy – but sure to be green and lush. A New England saying about the weather – If you don’t like it\, wait a few minutes! \nAccommodations: The camp takes place on beautiful old land with a farm house\, attached barns\, 2 sleeping cabins\, a hot shower cabin\, and a 30′ diameter Dance Yurt. There are many soft easy places to camp\, both in the meadow and in the woods by the Yurt. The farm house and loft of the barn offer inside shared sleeping spaces for those who need them\, as well as contributing to an experience of home comfort. Tents and canopies provide outside gathering and eating spaces and augment the shared living spaces of the house. Add organic gardens\, good water to drink\, fresh air\, nearby walking trails\, a quiet lake for swimming\, and a waterfall to sit by. All in all\, a wholesome healing environment. \nSpecial Considerations: The last few years the camp has filled by June\, so register early! We only accept full-time participants. Partial work exchanges are available. EDP is a participatory event; we eat\, dance\, pray\, play\, and work together! Everyone does some karma yoga everyday. Meals are vegetarian and delicious! Cell phones tend not to work here. Plan to unplug for the weekend and take a rest! SUMMARY:Lava Hot Springs Dance Camp
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate harmony and movement with the Dances of Universal Peace in Lava Hot Springs\, Idaho. This year we are coming back to this lovely town full of hot springs and a blossoming spiritual community in southern Idaho. Our dance event is in July when camping is great. We’ll be dancing in our thirty foot tent on our new dance pad up in the cool trees at Kim’s cabin. Lots of camping spots are available on the property\, and the town is full of great small motels for those who like a comfy bed. Come enjoy community in song and music for four days. \nStill only $50 per person for 2025! \nAbout the Dance\nThe Dances of Universal Peace are a powerful practice to find our true joyous being in community. These simple dances are inspired by the many spiritual traditions of the world. No experience or partner needed! Each dance and song is simple and taught as we go. \nThis type of dance is magic because it can’t be done without you! Finally a practice that doesn’t have you as a spectator! You will be right in the circle with a group of loving humans creating music while we move. \nIn the Dances of Universal Peace you are the music. We all sing and move together and that’s what creates the magic. Nothing else is needed. \nSetup is on Wednesday with take down Sunday morning. \nPartial Attendance? \nYou are welcome to attend partial days. Donations accepted at camp… or just come try it out. \nDetails \nWe’ll be at the campsite early on Wednesday for setting up. People are welcome to come get a camp spot and settled in early. First dance session is Thursday evening. Our musical instruments will be out and of course we’ll jam Wednesday and Thursday morning in the tent. If lots of people are there we will definitely kick up our heels. Last dance is on Sunday morning. \nOur dance spot is located just outside the city limits of Lava Hot Springs. Up in the cool trees and yet close to hot springs. We have a map and detailed directions below. The cabin is a ten minute drive from camping or motels in town. \nCamping will be free at the tent site. For those who like comfort and being close to hot pools there are plenty of hotels in town. There is also a RV resort just down the road from the tent spot. Google for Trout Haven in Lava. \nMusicians \nAs you arrive at camp please let us know about your musicianship! We coordinate experienced leaders into our dance sessions\, often on the fly. We’ll also have a dance/music/kirtan jam in the afternoons. DESCRIPTION:This is a co-created\, collaborative camp. One of the most affordable DUP camps in North America. Some limited scholarships available. DUP sessions are co-created by the certified leaders in attendance; no guest teachers or guides. For those interested in leading Dances at the Gathering\, we hold a Friday afternoon attunement and facilitated meeting to connect and build community. Those interested in leading also join in online coordinating in the weeks leading up to the Gathering\, to begin attuning to our shared leadership\, sense of purpose\, and the spirit of the camp. \nTime of Year: Summer Solstice weekend (Thurs. afternoon – Sunday afternoon). \nWho Attends: Dancers\, Musicians\, DUP Leaders\, Lovers of Nature and Community Members. \nWeather to expect: This is a sweet time of year here in the Northeast\, but it can be hot and muggy or cool and rainy. It can also be buggy/mosquitoes but still a lovely green time to be in the woods and meadows! \nAccommodations:\nA wide range of housing options are available at Sky Lake including: rustic woods camping\, primitive shared cabins (6 people per cabin)\, dorm-style rooms in Riley Lodge (2-4 people per room)\, and seven motel-style rooms in Underwood Lodge (triple occupancy only). Multiple bath houses and indoor shower facilities. \nThere is also a “commuter rate” for those who prefer hotel or Airbnb accommodations for greater comfort or privacy. SUMMARY:Salmon Idaho Dance Camp
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for four days of dancing and music in central Idaho. The Salmon Wild River Camp is led by fabulous Dances of Universal Peace leaders from Idaho\, Montana and beyond. This diverse team will carry us through the many spiritual traditions of the world in the ancient practice of community circle dance. \nStill only $50 per person for 2025! \nNo experience or partner needed in the Dances of Universal Peace. Each dance is taught in place: we are given a short song\, easy steps\, and the meaning (or attunement) of what we are doing. We set up the song and then go. It’s as easy as that. You become the musical instrument in a circle of fellow human beings. We can do songs from native sources\, Christianity\, Judaism\, eastern Sufi sources and more. Often they are inspiring poems. \nThe magic is the circle. Each person (you included) is what creates the magic. Humans evolved singing and celebrating in circle dance. As soon as you step into the circle you’ll know you are home. \nFrom Zareen: My goal for this camp is to provide an inexpensive space where we can all come together\, sing dance\, and also dive deeper into new possibilities. We will explore things we haven’t really thought about such as: How science and spirituality intersect\, the conditioned mind and community issues\, the non-dual wisdom of Turtle Island. Most important is how we use this time to recreate ourselves into co-creating relatives of the world rather than individual consumers. DESCRIPTION:For the first year\, thanks to the efforts of Susan Ullman\, the Dances of Universal Peace are a main feature of the festival. (Thank you Susan for all this work\, and thank you and Nuriya for first presenting the Dances there!) \nWe will have our Tent as a Dance space\, with shared camping and our kitchen set-up nearby. Mentor leaders Sky Roshay and Shivadam Burke\, joined by Bernie Skydrummer and Hassan Raven Wolf\, will focalize the sessions and workshops\, with support from Susan and other local leaders and musicians. Wade Hanson is our Tent Boss\, Dennis Roshay will provide sound and lighting support as well as photography and videography. \nIt is an ambitious outreach project\, with the potential to reach hundreds of adults of all ages\, including families with children\, and you can be part of it: \n• Come to SanghaFest and be part of the DUP presence! Four day festival tickets are $150 through December 31; as of January 1 they will be $200. Our promo code\, for a 5% discount\, is DUP.  Walk in tent camping is free; car camping is an extra $60; RV sites are more (and must be reserved).
